Take on the Great North Run and raise money for Global Care!
Join our team of runners taking part in The Great North Run and raise vital funds for vulnerable children!
We’re looking for a team of five runners to raise £2,500 together for our Children at Risk fund. This fund is available to our partners across the world for whenever a crisis hits. From a child needing medical care because of an accident, to families starving because of drought, the Children at Risk money makes a real difference. It enables our partners to act quickly when delay is not an option.
In Malawi, Children at Risk funding helps support vulnerable children in education. Poverty and the costs associated with schooling often lead children like *Matthew to drop out of school. His parents abandoned their children many years ago. When his older brother also left home, Matthew became responsible for his three younger siblings.
As the head of the household, Matthew was struggling to complete high school. Thanks to Children at Risk funding, he is able to remain in school. “Muthange [our partners in Malawi] came at the right time, when I didn’t know what to do,” he says.
How do I take part?
