Contemplate the miraculous grace of Jesus Christ with this moving and thought-provoking Christmas card. The graphic on the front of the card explores the profound vulnerability of the Christ-child. It reads:

A word poem in the shape of a Christmas tree, telling of Jesus' birth. It is in pale text on a dark blue gradient background with white bokeh circles fading up the image.

A boy is born to a young teenage girl
with just a manger for a bed
and scraps of cloth instead of clothes,
belonging to an oppressed ethnic group,
fleeing genocide to become a refugee in a foreign land:

This is the Son of God.

This striking card is a wonderful opportunity to share the true story of Christmas with friends, family and colleagues. Isaiah 9:6 is quoted inside: “For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” The message on the right reads ‘May your Christmas be full of wonder and joy’.

The back of the card reflects on the connection of that story with the work of Global Care, supporting children just as vulnerable as the baby Jesus. It reads:

If Global Care had been around in the first century, Jesus would definitely fit our criteria of ‘the most vulnerable children’.
Poverty, trauma, persecution, displacement… his early life was full of the extreme vulnerabilities experienced by children across our projects.
He could have been born to a different family at a different time in a different place. But, for our sake, he became ‘the least of these’.
What an amazing God we serve.
Reflecting on Jesus’ birth this Christmas encourages us to work harder, as we seek to help these most vulnerable children thrive.

Each pack contains 10 Christmas cards with envelopes.
